When life gets difficult, it’s always comforting to have someone in your corner fighting with you and not against you. My name is Tenia Ouellette and my passion has always been helping people. I am an Associate Attorney for the Personal Injury department at Bailey & Galyen. Originally from Detroit, MI, I grew up in Waco, TX and graduated from the University of North Texas before attending University of Missouri for law school. During law school I was a Student Ambassador, a member of the Black Law Students Association, the Criminal Law Association, and also made time to volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). I was also a student associate for Bloomberg law, an online legal research database. Right out of law school I practiced in criminal and family law. Due to my mother injuring herself at work, I decided to pursue a career change and began working at Bailey & Galyen. During my time at Bailey and Galyen, I have worked in Workers’ Compensation, Civil Litigation, and Social Security departments. This has allowed me to help our clients establish with a treating doctor, receive benefits and obtain medical treatment for their injuries. Furthermore, I helped our clients apply for social security disability, social security income, and receive benefits. Knowing that being involved in an automobile accident or in a slip and fall can be a traumatic experience, I am here to help facilitate the process and negotiate with the insurance company while you focus on getting your life back on track. In my free time, I like to work on DIY projects around the house, rummage through garage sales and go to the farmers market. I also enjoy date night with my husband and trivia night with our friends. My favorite charity is the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and I recently adopted a rescue dog named Finley. I continue to volunteer with Tarrant County CASA and I am also an attorney adviser for a high school mock trial team.
